The first review of the Chinese-made Bigme Pocketnote Color 2 color reader appeared on GoodEReader. This device has Android 11 operating system, Kaleido 3 screen, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB hard disk, as well as a microphone for Skype and Zoom calls (for some reason). All this for a relatively low price of $299. The device will probably be an ordinary one, but there are a few trends to note.
First, color e-ink readers continue to take market share. They don't promise or show 300 dpi display quality for color illustrations yet, but they are moving in that direction. And black and white text is already easily displayed at that resolution in this reader too. Secondly, Bigme's screen size of 7 inches makes the device quite portable. And third, on Android you can install applications from Google Play Store, and first of all, of course, book applications.
