On September 4 at the Moscow International Book Fair, Maria Loginova, editor of romantic prose at Stroki Publishing House, and I talked about how we are working on the creation of cutting-edge e-books. The process of creating such books is very interesting in itself, because all technical innovations should be appropriate and not interfere, but help reading and revealing the theme of the book. And yes, it is a creative process in which the craziest, at first glance, ideas are tested and realized.

I've been streaming directly from Stroki's reader to the big screen how these books in EPUB format look and revealing the secrets of how they're made. But in fact, such things as CSS in e-books, animated illustrations, CSS animations — these are not our secrets at all, but ordinary working tools that we gladly tell our colleagues from publishing houses working with Stroki about.

At the end of the event, I announced a big new feature of the Stroki’s reader — supporting audio in EPUB, which I'll have quite a bit more to say and write about. Thanks to everyone who came to hear about modern e-books in Stroki and ask questions! And those who didn't make it can watch a recording of the event.
